Jim Roman works at the crossroads of quiet desperation and quiet resolve. Getting results for people in their business is no easy task but Jim finds it rewarding.

Jim first started in business at his parents’ restaurant at age 13, working various jobs from dishwasher to line cook prior to entering into the Air Force.

After being in the Air Force for four and a half years Jim was given the opportunity to manage his first business, an Italian Restaurant in Hampton Roads area and since then Jim has had the Entrepreneurial bug.

In 1999 Jim was responsible for bringing BNI - Business Networking International, to the Central VA area. He took it from zero members to well over 1600 in less than six years. Jim recently sold that business to be able to spend more time with his clients and family.

He now owns Jim Roman & Associates, LLC., a company that supports business owners in taking the necessary steps to getting to the next stage of their business as well as developing strategies to create the time to do more of the things they want.

Jim’s recognitions include:

• First Area director to be inducted into the BNI Hall of Fame
• Recognized as one of the “Top 40 Professionals Under 40” by Inside Business
•  Recognized by the former Governor of VA for his contribution to the Virginia Hispanic Chamber

In Jims’ spare time he works with students in the Executive MBA program guiding people through the business plan process. Jim also volunteers with Chambers of Commerce teaching business people” How to take the WORK out of Networking.”

With 14 years of experience as an insurance agent in the state of Virginia, Kathy Roman is no stranger to the ups and downs a business experiences and getting caught up in the tyranny of the urgent.  She is also no stranger to doing what it takes to get the job done through discipline, persistence and hard work.

She spent the last 11 years of her insurance career putting herself through college by taking night classes to earn herself an associates degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications while minoring in Psychology. It is through her experience of pushing through the tough times, creating systems and processes to get the work done effectively and efficiently and managing her energy that she motivates and inspires other business owners to be able to do the same. 

Kathy helps business owners create their own sense of urgency and helps them discover what truly motivates them to get effective results.
